The Global Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) was established to define and deliver target end state operating model and technology requirements to strategically source data required for both internal and external reporting, and assist in positioning the firm to better respond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests.  As part of FIRS, the Internal Reporting Solutions team is focused on providing environmental readiness (fit-for-use), data quality and enrichment, and enhanced reporting and analysis across critical corporate internal reporting platforms.
The Internal Reporting Strategy and Execution team within Internal Reporting Solutions is tasked with improving consistency, sustainability, and stabilization of financial reporting processes across the firm. Responsibilities of the team include execution of current state assessments, analysis of functional activities that align within the FIRS remit, and enhancing the control framework. The team partners with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Liquidity to drive the Internal Reporting Strategy and Execution Book of Work and collaborates with internal clients to ensure quality delivery of solutions.
Role Description
The Strategy Execution Analyst will deliver on the mandate of programs across the Internal Reporting Strategy and Execution book of work. The analyst will partner with the team lead and key stakeholders across multiple locations to assess and document reporting processes, design operating and governance models, and support ad-hoc activities as needed. The successful candidate will partner with key business partners to analyze business/operational processes, identify risks/controls/gaps, and provide recommendations for potential system/process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with FIRS, Risk, Finance, Liquidity and Line of business partners and facilitate effective communication in-person, via email, and through the use of PowerPoint presentations
  • Work with business partners to assess and document their processes, risks, controls, pain points, and requirements in the form of data/process flows and operating model documentation
  • Develop and syndicate process/system enhancement recommendations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business knowledge
  • Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills preferred, and experience with MS Visio is a plus
