CCB is advancing towards a transformation where high velocity software engineering of business capabilities is paramount. This strategy is being driven by the increasing use of digital platforms on the part of our customers as they bank with us and the evolution of financial products and services and their potential integration into digital banking ecosystems.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will be part of an agile scrum team focused on delivering microservices in support of this broader strategy. The day to day activities of the role will encompass the full project lifecycle, including:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Play a key role in setting the technical direction for the project
  • Define, design, develop, test, deploy, and support microservices that comprise mission-critical enterprise applications that meet the needs of the business
  • Automate development, testing, and deployment processes
  • Share your knowledge and learn with other members of the team
Qualifications:
  • B.S or M.S (Computer Science or a related technical field preferred), should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas
  • 8+ years minimum experience utilizing Java platforms and technologies for development of mission-critical enterprise applications
  • 3+ years leading a team of 5+ developers
  • 3+ years of experience working on an Agile Scrum team
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented principals
  • Experience developing software using domain-driven design (DDD) approach
  • Strong understanding of REST architectural style and experience building RESTful APIs and RESTful Web Services
  • Experience building mission-critical applications based on Microservices Architecture
  • Proficiency using Generics, Lambda Expressions, and Streams
  • Expert knowledge of Spring Framework
  • Experience working with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
  • Practical experience with NoSQL database technologies; preferably Apache Cassandra
  • Experience building Reactive Systems
  • Working knowledge of utilizing and administering Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) for software development
Preferred Skills:
  • Kafka
  • Cassandra
  • Netflix OSS
  • Cloud Foundry
  • Test automation with Cucumber and Selenium
  • Software development using TDD techniques
  • Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) supported by Jenkins or similar automation servers
  • Log management with Splunk or ELK
  • Distributed Cache (GemFire, Hazelcast, Memcached)
