As a Scrum Master you will be part of an agile scrum team focused on delivering microservices in support of this broader strategy. The day to day activities of the role will encompass the full project lifecycle, including: 
 
Responsibilities:
  • As a Scrum Master drive the Technical team and the Product Owners in an Agile development process.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in effectiveness of scrum teams through practice and internalization of Agile techniques for measurement, feedback incorporation, Continuous integration, Continuous Delivery etc.
  • Accurately identify potential roadblocks for future sprints and work with team management to resolve expeditiously.
  • Establish strong relationships with counterparts in scrums across other organizations. Participate effectively in scrum of scrum’s and help drive overall program agenda effectively.
  • Promote and participate in the continuous improvement of structure, processes, tooling to enable the teams to deliver more value
  • Organize and facilitate standups, release and sprint planning, reviews, demos and retrospectives
  • Engineer a world-class platform with an eye towards rapid iteration and creative problem solving
  • Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, integration, and regression capabilities
  • Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies
  • Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing JPMorgan technologies and infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of development concepts
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of object orientation and software design patterns
  • Experience of testing at the unit, integration and system levels
  • Experience in a developer contributor role
  • Experienced leading team of application developers 
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Overall 8+ years of experience in delivering technology solutions
  • 2+ years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master
  • Scrum Certification is preferred
  • 5+ years of web development experience
  • Understanding of (Java/J2EE or .Net, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Spring, AJAX, & JSON skills for implementing web technologies.
  • Experience with other Agile/Lean practices such as XP or Kanban
  • Participation in Test Driven Development or Business Driven Development
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience working in financial services organizations
  • Experience with microservice architectures and technologies.
