Description

As a Business Control Manager you will work for Credit Bureau Operations and support the governance and oversight of key Data Furnishing initiatives.  This role will partner with the Chase lines of business stakeholders to promote Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) data accuracy, sustainability and accountability through documented policies and standards.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Document new control opportunities or update existing procedures to align with policy driven standards
  • Participate in periodic review sessions to validate operational consistency is documented and demonstrated  
  • Manage prioritization of review activities supporting key Data Furnishing initiatives
  • Promote policy compliance, document opportunities
  • Document risks and establish an interaction model to evidence they are remediated
  • Serve to support and train on best practices within Data Furnishing Controls
  • Participate in line of business project status meetings and report progress on material efforts
  • Secure evidence the control has been processed through the Credit Bureau Operations approval forums
  • Implement and execute daily/weekly/monthly control status reports
  • Perform quality reviews to ensure process is in compliance with FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and report gap analysis
  • Engage and identify cross-impacts with other functional areas as needed  
  • Document project changes, maintain log and manage multiple projects based on prioritization  
  • Participate in business initiatives and assist with all levels of metric reporting and tracking  

 

Qualifications

 Required Skills

·         Knowledge of CDIA and Metro2  - Data Furnishing is a plus

·         Excellent Project Coordination and Project tracking skills

·         Experience in collaborating across multiple functional operational teams

·         Must demonstrate strong time management skills, ability to multi-task & handle multiple  assignments, proactively consider future impacts & prioritize one's own work

·         Must have professional verbal and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level

·         Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements, raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications required for test case identification

·         Good oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to influence

·         Strong partnership and team building skills

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
