The role of P&A Expenses Financial Associate, based in New Jersey US, is to support the Asset & Wealth Management Expenses team.
The role of the team is to consolidate, oversee, and report on the Expenses incurred in both the Wealth Management and Asset Management Businesses. The team is responsible for ensuring consistency in reporting and the production of reports and gathering of information. It also sets timetables and ensures deliverables are met. The team provides advice to all the AWM divisional Expenses teams, ensuring best practice and developing efficiencies in processes.
There is also a requirement to provide various information as required to the JPM Corporate teams.
The role will require someone with a good Financial Accounting background who is comfortable presenting numbers to senior managers.
Specific aspects of the role will include.
On a quarterly and Annual basis the consolidation and reporting of the Budgeting and Forecasting numbers for AWM. Producing various reports and presenting them to Management.
In depth analysis of various expense drivers to ensure services are required and that costs are clearly understood and communicated. This includes monitoring of services, reviews of contracts and ensuring data is consistent and accurate.
Will require working with teams around the globe on a regular basis.
Oversight and liaison with team members based offshore in India to ensure deadlines are met and that reporting is accurate and timely.
Supporting other members of the AWM team on adhoc requests and covering during absence.
Working with Corporate teams to obtain information on costs being charged to AWM.
Building databases and control procedures to be able capture data on a monthly basis for analysis trending etc.
The position will provide a good opportunity to meet senior business managers within the AWM Business and to gain experience in dealing with numerous JPM Corporate systems and applications.
2-3 years of professional practical experience in Accounting and Finance.
Advanced Excel (e.g. use of pivot tables look up tables essential)
