Corporate Human Resources plays an integral role in designing, implementing, and managing global initiatives across the firm.  The functional areas within Corporate HR include global Recruiting, Training, Talent and Development, Career Management, Diversity, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Relations, Technology, Finance, HR Service Delivery, and Workforce Analytics (WFA).
 
WFA is a newly established centralized global function. In WFA, we apply quantitative methods, technology, and research to people-related data across the firm. Candidate Profile

 
The Data Engineer will utilize their skills to generate data driven solutions. As a Data Engineer to join Workforce Analytics Data Engineering team by designing and architecting the next generation HR analytics solutions. Ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with huge volumes a big data, and enjoys the challenge of highly complex business logic and passionate about data and analytics. In this role you will be part of team of engineers to create world class Workforce Big Data and will be responsible for designing and partner with technology team to implement the solutions and enjoying working in a fast paced dynamic environment.
 
Essential Job Functions
 
  • Interact with end users and stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of the business problem and questions to answer using intended data structures.
  • Works under board direction. Is fully accountable for own technical work or project supervisory responsibilities. Receives assignments in the form of objectives. Work is often self-initiated.
  • Develop, test, implement and document technical engineering solutions to assists partners self-service analytic needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest database tools and technologies involved data extraction, persistence and high performance presentation layers.
  • Understand big as well as cloud based data technologies and applications. Able to engineer solutions for the business effectively utilize these data solutions.
  • Lead design activates in all phases of data modelling from conceptualization to database optimization.
  • Conversant in emerging technology structure and unstructured data mining to support Data Scientists.
  • Experience with large scale environments is required
  • Ability to manage and track multiple technical projects to completion
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Agile methodology for system implementations
  • Be focused on deliverables and be able to manage multiple high priority deliverables
  • Ability to partner with other teams and get things done
 
 
 
Requirements- Education and Experience
 
  • Required 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information technology or Business analytics
  • Experience with Human Resources (Headcount, Recruiting,  Compensation etc) and Reporting and related processes
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field desired
  • 2+ years’ experience with dimensional, relational and Big data modelling. Specific experience in Cloudera, Hortonworks or an equivalent platform with proven experience leveraging best practices.
  • 2+ years’ experience working with diverse data source, including both structured and unstructured data.
  • Significant RDMBS and Big Data, Business Objects, Tableau, QlikView experience
  • Ability to operate in an agile environment, which requires flexibility in competing priorities
  • Critical thinking skills to understand and analyze complex problems
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to interact with experts from multiple disciplines, both technical and non-technical
 
Required Soft skills
