This position is for a Senior Data Modeler for the Praesto initiative. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, designing Logical Data Models, and Physical Data Model for various types of physical representations (relational, star, XML, etc.),  metadata management and data profiling, contributing to system architecture and design, assisting in defining database standards & procedures, database design, programming and tuning.

Responsibilities:
  • Architects advanced, strategic DBMS solutions, supports development and/or production of large scale, complex environments, develops and manages execution of DB implementation/upgrade.
  • Evaluates tools and performs database performance monitoring, analysis and recommendations
  • Defines database standards, policies and procedures
  • Strong ability to perform data modeling for large scale, complex business applications
  • Maintains strong data governance discipline. Highly effective at facilitation of data requirements sessions for complex applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Strong ability to perform data modeling (using Erwin) for large scale, complex business applications.
  • Maintains strong data governance discipline. Highly effective at facilitation of data requirements sessions for complex applications.
  • Expert in use of data modeling using Erwin and metadata management tools
  • Proficiency at capacity planning, database and SQL tuning.
  • Good understanding of Big Data technologies.
  • Experience with JPMC firmwide and CCB standards and master data is a plus.
  • Can proficiently troubleshoot complex problems.
  • A strong desire and capacity to understand both the technical and business functions of all supported products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Player with the willingness to collaborate with other technical and non-technical partners.
  • Skilled in problem solving and analytical reasoning.
