Sr. SAP Basis Applications Support Specialist:


Desired technologies: AIX 7.X,  RHEL 6.X OR 7.X, GPFS 3.4, Oracle 11.2 RAC,  NW 7.0 /7.3 / 7.5, BW 7.5, ECC 6.0, SolMan 7.31., HANA 1.0 SPS12 and above

 

Responsibilities and duties:

·     Daily administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning of all SAP ECC 6.0, BW 7.3, and Solution Manager environments.

·     Perform SAP software installation, upgrades, applying support packages, system copies/refreshes and installation add-on software components.

·     Responding to and resolving infrastructure related incidents & problems

·     Works with OS & DB Administrators for optimize the SAP Application and Database performance

·     Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build, test and productive operation of project implementation.

·     Provides support for Disaster Recovery and localized HA testing based on the mandated CAF policies provided by the management

·     Provide all aspects of technical support for SAP Basis Administration in a proactive and reactive modes, to ensure that the SAP systems perform at optimized level to meet or exceed the SLA requirements.

·     Perform Early Watch analysis and implement solutions or corrections based on SAP provided guidelines

·     Participate in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and strategies for continuous system availability for end users

·     Maintain multi-landscape environments through remote copies, system refreshes, and transport management

·     Provide daily support across 5 different SAP Landscapes (ECC, BW, SOLMAN, GRC and LANDING AREA) including various external application integrations

·     Analyze daily system health checks across all the 5 landscapes and provide various proactive measures to reduce any Audit or security breaches including availability of SAP Applications

·     Setup of User Printers within SAP, as well as support the installation of Front-end GUI Applications across various continents for end-users.

·     Configure and Maintain Transport System Landscapes and promote business rules and configurations across 5 different landscapes

·     Provide Production Support 24x7 with on-call responsibilities

 


·     Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related business field: or equivalent experience.

·     Working understanding of complex software and information technology solutions.

·     12-15+ years working with SAP administration with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance and implementation projects.

·     8+ years’ experience with Unix platforms (AIX 7.x preferred) and ORACLE (11g preferred)

·     Demonstrated ability within administrative toolsets including Solution Manager

·     2 -3 years of HANA DB Experience.

·     Able to work independently as well as cooperatively.

·     Good working knowledge of Unix Scripting or Perl Scripting  

·     BPC 10.0 experience not essential, but a plus

·     Ability to mentor and develop technical resources.
