The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO). CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda. A top Corporate Technology priority is building scalable corporate systems.
Role Description
The role is for an Application Developer (Associate) within the Credit Risk Reporting team. The application developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the CRRT data warehouse. These responsibilities include building ETL (Extract Transform Load), data exchanges, data modeling and data integrations as well as working with a multi-member team globally
 
Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, develop, debug and unit test  for different application components
  • Implements business rules via stored procedures, ETL tools, middleware, or other technologies.
  • Translating operational and business needs into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of best practices/methodologies in Data Warehousing and Multi-dimensional data modeling (OLAP)
  • Develops, implements, refines, and supports a data warehouse used for analytics and reporting and optimizes processes while working closely with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement data extraction procedures from all systems.
  • Acts a liaison between Information Technology and business units.
  • Performs source-to-target data mapping.
  • Review FSD/business requirement documents and consult on project scope and timeline
  • Complete project documentation/TDD according to SDLC requirements
  • Release management including implementation planning
  • Rapid resolution of issues impacting release
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production issues / L3 Support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • 7+ years of extensive experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
  • NoSQL database experience is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in Unix shell scripting. 
  • Extensive experience in tuning complex queries (Performance Tuning)
  • Extensive experience with ETL, coding and debugging using native SQL/PLSQL
  • Extensive experience in writing and modifying PL/SQL codes including Packages, Materialize Views, Nested tables, Triggers, and Functions
  • Develop and maintain batch programs using Perl and UNIX shell scripting to support the import of data into oracle database and export the data into external interfaces
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, organizational and core project management skills
  • Strong understanding of the infrastructure, applications, hardware and software environment
 
Personal Skills:
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a highly energetic, multi-faceted, international environment showing ability to quickly assess technical challenges and respond appropriately
  • Experience in working on projects with demanding timescales
  • Should keep abreast of current industry trends and be able to bring industry standards and best practices, lessons learned to the project
  • Strong communication skills as this individual will need to work closely with clients, users and global stakeholders
