JPMorgan’s Real Estate Banking (REB) team serves large sophisticated and diversified real estate companies with broad needs, significant experience and strength, and proven ability and track record of operating through real estate cycles. Clients include top-tier real estate developers, investors, real estate operating companies, and investment funds, active in the major markets across the U.S. Our team has extensive expertise in real estate credit, including commercial and multifamily construction, acquisition, structured revolving loan facilities, subscription finance, bridge lending and longer term mortgage lending. With our product partners, we also offer cash management and treasury services and a full suite of capital market solutions and investment strategy.


This individual will be responsible for leading a team for Real Estate Originations for our REB Northern California Region. This position requires a proven leader with a persuasive and consensus building style of management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to introduce innovative solutions to complex problems.


This position will interface with the marketplace and as such this individual must ensure that J.P. Morgan is highly visible and well represented.  There are social and civic responsibilities as J.P. Morgan sponsors different events and the Market Manager will represent the firm outside of typical banking hours.


The Market Manager will also be responsible for overseeing regular P&L, be responsible for the performance and for the day-to-day management of the team.  The successful candidate will be expected to build, lead and develop a team of high-caliber professionals.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the overall business development of Commercial Real Estate Products and cross selling other banking products to Real Estate Developers across their assigned region. The Candidate will represent the company in investment presentations, meetings, and other business development related activities.
  • Provide leadership in respect to establishing strong relationships with key influence agents in the business and investment communities.
  • Provide oversight with respect to recruiting, training, measuring and developing staff.
  • Monitor and measure the ongoing operations and performance of assigned region.
  • 10+ years of Originations and Management experience in Commercial Real Estate.
  • Seasoned executive with a successful track record managing and motivating a team.
  • Background with a recognized Bank, Investment Bank or Commercial Real Estate Company.
  • Sound knowledge of investment markets, products, and competitors.
  • Enjoys an excellent reputation in the Real Estate Community with a demonstrable record of success in this field.
  • Capable of effectively contributing to investment strategies and new product development decisions.
  • A proven history of building enduring professional relations with clients and colleagues.
  • Marketing and business development skills are necessary.
