The team has a large book of work comprising of many strategic and tactical projects to enhance the system capabilities and continue with integration efforts with the firm’s risk systems along with the reduction of offline manual processes.
As a Java /  DB developer, the candidate will provide high quality technology solutions that address complex and evolving business needs. 
The developer will work directly with the AM Risk & Finance technology team, internal business customers and other IT development and infrastructure groups within the organization.
The candidate is expected to participate in the analysis, development and deployment of strategic enhancements in our suite of applications while understanding and building experience of our Risk & Finance related platforms for Asset Management.
The candidate will also participate in the reporting initiatives of the overall Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting programs.  
As part of these initiatives the candidate will have the opportunity to work with our global Technology development team and participate in the deployment of strategic enhancements while understanding and building experience of our Risk & Finance platforms.
Responsibilities in this role include:
Must have –
  • 6+ years of Overall Exp in Java / DB, J2EE. 
  • Excellent knowledge of core Java
  • Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework
  • Excellent understanding of SQL / query development & basics of query tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge methodologies & tools like CI / SVN / Jenkins as well as of Unit testing using Junit with mocking frameworks like Mockito.
  • Good knowledge of Tomcat application server
  • Participate in the technical requirement specification process to ensure that definitions of new functionality are clearly defined and understood
  • Collaborate with technology development team and designers to develop scalable and robust technology solutions to ensure business requirements are met
  • Ensure code development is consistent with company development standards and aligned with industry guidelines and best practices
  • Participate in the testing and validation of new software to ensure software changes meet functional requirements
  • Provide post-production application support as required. Responsibilities include, problem identification, troubleshooting, data analysis, and emergency bug fixes
Non-Technical Requirements
•             Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders
•             In-depth understanding and prior work experience in finance industry is a plus.
•             Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
•             Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
•   Able to work independently.
•   Passion for learning new tools and techniques.
•   Establishes standards and best practices
•             Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
•             At least 5 years of overall software development experience
•             Scrum master with Java / DB skills
