Consumer and Community (CCB) Global Finance & Business Management Office:
The Business Planning and Analysis team is part of Consumer and Community Banking Global Finance & Business Management Office and is responsible for developing an integrated planning and management process that supports the successful execution of CCB and Branch Operations business objectives. The primary responsibilities of this team include volume / demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce optimization, location strategy and business analysis/support.
 
The Business Analysis Manager supports CCB Operations Executives and their Leadership Teams as well as interfaces with key stakeholders in Human Resources, Finance, and Controls on financial and performance planning.  This role requires the ability to communicate information concisely, both verbally and in presentation form, and the ability to work closely with Senior Management to balance financial and business goals. We are looking for self-starters that thrive in a dynamic environment, have big ideas and goals, and believe in testing and execution of ideas rather than talking about them.
 
A manager in this role is responsible for developing a holistic process around the development and communication of accurate volume forecasts at a function and line of business segmented level.   The ideal candidate will be thought leader with a strong balance of statistical measurement applied in a business setting, with a process oriented mentality that is designed to deliver planning inputs in a timely manner.    This position requires working collaboratively amongst other talented team members and across the broader organization.  We are looking for a self-starter who demonstrates a willingness to learn and has the management courage to create and implement change.
 Specific responsibilities include:
  • Developing  forecasting tools to predict volume levels accurately for the different areas within Operations
  • Apply statistical measures to identify and continually validate that all forecasts are developed from the most relevant business drivers
  • Manage a disciplined process that feeds timely forecasts to all dependent stakeholders in an easy to understand manner
  • Develop forecast handoffs and variance explanations that are informative and easy to understand
  • Leading a team of employees through a combination of ongoing forecast efforts as well as development of new forecasts
  • Taking complex tools and translate them in an easily understood way
  • Persuading, informing, and influencing others based on findings through both verbal and written communication
Preferred qualifications:
  • Education: BS/MS in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Applied Math,  or Operations Research
  • Management Experience: Well-developed ability to attract, train, motivate, develop and retain employees
  • Data Analysis: Strong background in forecasting, statistics, modeling, and/or optimization as demonstrated by either industry experience or coursework/academic research
  • Analytical Software: Experience designing solutions with analytical tools: SQL, SAS, R, Excel, etc.
  • Intellectually Curious: Continuously seeking out opportunities to hone existing skills and learn new skills
  • Attention to Detail: A critical thinker who ensures the quality of work output with a strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Self-Starter: Must be able to operate in a self-directed manner with little direction and strive to take the initiative to identify issues and/or ways to improve
