The Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries group is part of Commercial Banking at JPMorgan Chase and focuses on U.S. and Canadian companies typically with revenues of over $500mm which require traditional banking services in addition to investment banking products and capabilities.
 
The CCBSI Financial Analysis Manager will be responsible for supporting Planning and Analysis (P&A) function for Expenses, Investments and Headcount.  Responsibilities for this role will include analyzing and reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. The candidate will support the CCBSI P&A lead, in addition to working closely with each of the CCBSI sub-LOB finance leads, CB expense team, Business management and controller team with month-end close, budget, reforecast, and many ad-hoc projects. The role reports to the CCBSI P&A lead and interacts on a regular basis with colleagues in Commercial Bank Finance and Business Management. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial reporting and analysis for CCBSI expense, headcount, and investment spend
  • Build robust reporting and analysis of expenses, headcount and investment spend
  • Develop annual expense budget, as well as monthly reforecast
  • Partner with Commercial Banking Expense and Controller team to analyze monthly results and provide in depth analysis for direct and indirect expenses for total CCBSI and market level
  • Partner closely with HR and the National Junior Resource manager to forecast   headcount for total CCBSI and at the market level.
  • Review and analyze allocations and ensure  costing methodologies are appropriate for both financial and client reporting
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis on expense drivers and specific expense questions as applicable
  • Coordinate with various functions in Commercial Banking and other LOBs to assess the applicability to CCBSI  while providing reporting for CCBSI spend across all sources
  • Perform month-end close, analyze the results, and provide commentary for CCBSI monthly Executive Management Report
  • Assist with various ad-hoc analysis and presentations during month-end and quarter-end
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a track record of execution against deliverables
  • Prior experience preferred in PR&A/finance focused on expenses, headcount and investment
  • A keen business acumen and an ability to tell a compelling story from the data
  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative and ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
  • Strong work ethic, professional maturity, personal integrity
  • Highly organized, strong attention to details, and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 6-10 years of relevant Finance experience (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, PitchPro and Hyperion Essbase
