Position Overview
The Role:
The Consumer Bank Recruiting Manager will lead the recruiting function for high volume and specialty branch roles in the NYC Metro, NY North/CT, New Jersey, and Long Island/Queens. The Consumer Bank Recruiting Manager will manage a team of recruiters responsible for screening/sourcing, networking, interviewing and managing the offer process.  Their key responsibilities will include building a sourcing strategy aligned to the business priorities, a strong focus on the candidate/client experience and maintaining a tight risk and controls environment.
Key responsibilities include:     
Regional Recruiting:
  • Partners with Consumer Banking Regional Directors and Market Directors to understand the business priorities and staffing needs to build a proactive sourcing strategy.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise with recruiting processes, training direct reports and coaching the entire team.
  • Consults with the business to create and sustain meaningful recruiting strategies as it relates to hiring goals; including strategies for increasing diversity and military hiring.
  • Drives change management-actively leveraging and encouraging team adoption of new tools and processes
  • Develops and executes various recruiting events; internally and externally, to continue building branch awareness and new sourcing strategies.
  • Maintains a strong focus on delivering an outstanding client and candidate experience.
  • Participates in regular client meetings to deliver consistent messaging, with appropriate tone and content for the audience
  • Effectively communicates across levels in the organization
Risk & Controls:
  • Drives controls initiatives helping team to understand the value behind the initiative.  Proactively identifies potential risks and mitigates appropriately.
  • Utilizes reporting to support candidate care, monitoring undispositioned candidates and ensuring appropriate action is taken.  Coaches and trains team on risk/controls audits.
  • Actively participates and encourages team participation in control, compliance and audit-related trainings.
  • Escalates risks and concerns in a thoughtful, timely manner.
  • Proactively identifies potential risks and mitigates appropriately.
Reporting & Analytics:
  • Utilizes reports to drive production, including monitoring capacity reporting and adjusting accordingly.
  • Generates efficiency gains through effective management of demand and capacity.
  • Provides ongoing recruiting reporting and insights to clients and HR partners.
  • Partners with other Recruiting Managers to share best practices, create synergies, and drive results.
  • Partners with the Marketing team on the annual media plan for the branches in the Northeast regions; including social media, events, etc.
  • Drives and supports business specific initiatives by partnering with business leaders, aligned HRBPs, and other strategic partners.
  • Actively supports individuals on their team in development/career planning, achieving goals, and provides ongoing coaching feedback for performance development.
  • Fosters a climate and culture that creates a positive employee experience where employees love their jobs and are proud to work for Chase.
  • Champions an inclusive environment of open communication and diverse perspectives.
  • Five or more years of recruiting experience in the branch space strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead recruitment/sourcing efforts with the ability to design and implement proactive pipelining strategies.  
  • Strong people management skills; coaching, developing, monitoring risk/controls.
  • Strong partnership and consulting skills. 
  • Customer/Client focus, ability to think through experience and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Success leading complex projects and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Strong business results focus, ability to drive results.
  • Knowledge of recruiting risks/controls, ability to monitor risks and ensure recruiter compliance.
