Primary Function:
 
JPM’s WM Investment Solutions team is seeking a mid-level operational due diligence professional, based in New York.  The operational due diligence professional will be a member of the Operational Due Diligence team within Wealth Management Investment Solutions. The team is responsible for performing operational due diligence on 3rd party investment managers on-boarded by our various due diligence teams (hedge fund, private equity, & traditional). This role will be oriented primarily toward traditional strategies in Mutual Fund, UCITs, & SMA structures.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Execution of an operational due diligence process specifically tailored to ’40 Act mutual funds, UCITS funds, & separately managed accounts
  • Presentation of operational due diligence findings to the global investment review committee as well as the global investment performance governance committee
  • Interaction with 3rd party investment managers to assess business structure, operational processes, valuation practices, compliance policies, technology infrastructure, and counterparty/collateral management
  • Interaction with various service providers including fund administrators, custodians, trustees, and auditors
  • Bachelors degree; advanced degree and/or CFA charter holder strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years relevant operational due diligence work experience
  • Related experience in prime brokerage, operations, audit, compliance, and/or consulting
  • Strong communication skills and presence to lead interviews with “C-suite” professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and various security types (including derivatives)
  • Understanding of investment strategies and fund structures
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment on a global team
  • Willing to obtain or successfully transfer FINRA 7 and 63 licenses within 120 days of employment
