  • Review credit applications and render appropriate credit decision within credit policy requirements and in compliance with all regulations
  • Review policy and/or pricing exceptions and assist in daily operations
  • Structure decisions to maximize profit and enhance dealer relationships
  • Decision automobile applications submitted by our dealership clients, placing an emphasis on response time, quantity of applications processed, and quality of applications approved
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon targets for return on equity (ROE), volume, conversion ratios, and other business metrics
  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers and assist with on-going business development through scheduled outside calling efforts
  • Provide prompt, accurate responses to all internal and external customer inquiries
  • Review contracts in for funding that need manual intervention from the credit department
  • Monitor the daily pending contract report
 
Shift/Work Schedule:  The department's operational hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Saturday.  Candidates must be flexible to work schedules within these operational hours based on business needs. Weekends including Sundays from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, are required on a rotating basis, based on business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Five years of underwriting experience, with Indirect Auto Finance experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled in credit decisioning, with a solid understanding of credit and applicable federal and state regulations relative to consumer lending
  • A comprehensive knowledge of indirect loan programs
  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other common application software
  • Results-oriented with a high level of personal initiative and proven leadership ability
  • Full spectrum lending experience is preferred
