The Project Manager is responsible to lead a business project through the entire project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Closure), ensuring the successful design and implementation of strategic, high priority initiatives to achieve short to long term efficiency/ regulatory fulfillment for the business. This role is within the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Office and reports up to the Taiwan Asset Management (AM) CAO. This role requires close partnership with front, middle and back offices on efforts which are cross or multi-product/channel and aligned to the business’s strategic goals. This role will also involve in regional or global projects that impacting Taiwan AM business, playing an active role in ensuring local requirements and critical factors are well embedded into the overall project scoping and implementation, while ensuring a win-win outcome and overall success of those projects.
 
The person assumes hands-on roles in these high priority initiatives and work closely with members from across multiple functions or locations assigned to the project.  Key responsibilities include:
 
Project Management
  • Managing several efforts simultaneously across a range of functions, business and organizational units
  • Working with business stakeholders to help define and drive strategy and execution
  • Identifying and bringing together the right resources, content experts and decision makers to meet goals
  • Developing program charters, business cases, project plans, team structure, and governance models
  • Managing effective and efficient communication of projects with senior management and senior business stakeholders
Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Supporting and conducting clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues
  • Creating and applying appropriate conceptual frameworks to push thinking and expand solution sets
  • Assessing risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches
  • Designing processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement and return on investment
  • Proactively identifying and addressing risks and opportunities relating to the business as a whole or specific projects
Communication & Relationships
  • Building relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders
  • Communicating recommendations and program status to impacted stakeholders
  • Clearly articulating program goals and status to stakeholders and collaborators
  • Escalating critical issues with a focus on resolution
We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate a history in effectively leading project team, managing complex and strategic projects and driving change, ideally in financial services. 
 
Key qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (e.g., strategy consulting, banking, program management)
  • Understanding of business and management functions in local Taiwan Asset Management and/or related financial services industries
  • Experience with implementation of project management processes and methodologies in a large organization
  • Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to network with internal stakeholder community to foster positive and proactive collaboration
  • Experience in automation, digitalization, process streamlining will be a big  plus
