Recognizing the need to strengthen management and coordination of regulatory initiatives across the CIB Chief Administrative Office, the CIB CAO Regulatory Oversight team was established in 2017. This team is responsible for providing interpretative guidance and expertise relating to global CIB CAO-wide regulatory commitments, with specific emphasis on support for firm wide Recovery & Resolution planning; providing facilitation of execution delivery and development of operational governance structures to support on-going commitments.
 
Scope of the team associated to this role is related to the Resolution & Recovery reporting program, and has been chartered with developing a comprehensive reporting tool that will support Global Regulatory reporting.  The Team is heavily involved in business requirement reviews, gap analysis, UAT testing, and partnering with business, technology and subject matter experts across the firm.  The position will be focused on tactical short term and strategic long term operating models to develop a comprehensive Resolution & Recovery reporting platform.
Responsibilities for the Business Analyst
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes, identifying risks and defining solutions quickly
  • Perform gap analysis, document results to remediate issues and develop opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the Global Regulatory reporting model
  • Partner with global stakeholders to complete comprehensive business analysis and requirements documentation
  • Develop end to end test cases and strategy in partnership with Global Regulatory Reporting Team and business partners
  • Partner with global user base to drive in depth end user testing, gather feedback and incorporate recommendations into future requirements releases
  • Document current and future state models, including standard operation procedures (SOPs)
  • Liaise with technology to ensure the functional design and build requirements meet global reporting requirements
  • Conduct post mortem analysis after development release implementations to improve future enhancements
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years business analysis working experience required, preferably in the financial industry
  • Understanding of trade flows across asset classes desired
  • Disciplined self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to execute tasks independently
  • Strong capacity for operating in a flexible, dynamic, and high pressure environment where creative thinking is required
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new business concepts
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate issues during analysis, build, testing and post implementation phases
  • Strong business analysis, requirement development, process improvement and operations analysis experience
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies: Agile & Waterfall
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with business partners, technology partners, and SMEs across multiple disciplines and functions
  • Demonstrated experience working on large scale complex projects and initiatives across multiple functions with global resource base
  • Knowledge of Corporate & Investment bank businesses, regulatory environment and financial markets
  • Experience developing processes to fulfill regulatory guidelines and requirements preferred
  • Excellent presentation, formula compilation, and data analytics skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required
  • Experience with databases/data marts preferred
  • Data modeling techniques preferred
