Job description: The EMEA Client Asset Team (CASS) is responsible for providing support to the Firm and the Directors responsible for CASS Operational Oversight (CF10a) across all UK based entities for ensuring compliance with regulatory rules.
The position forms part of the CASS team within CIB Operations. The team undertakes oversight and governance in relation to ensuring JPM's compliance with the FCA Client Money and Client Assets Rules (CASS).  The team work closely with Operations , Business and Product Management spanning all lines of business across the Legal Entities in scope for CIB including Global Custody,  Collateral Management, Funds Services , Escrow, Securities Lending, Liquidity Solutions , Derivatives, Futures and Options, FX , Equities and Fixed Income . In addition, the team partner with Compliance, Audit and Risk. 
 
Summary of Responsibilities: Working with the CAOO (CASS Operational Oversight Officer / CF10a), you will ensure that the respective Operations and Business units are being managed in compliance with the rules associated with client asset protection across Europe. You will also contribute towards being an interface with the internal and external auditors, assisting the CAOO/CF10a’s in their regulated capacity. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the existing governance structure across CIB for FCA CASS regulations, including but not exclusive to stakeholder meetings and production of key message documentation
  • CASS guidance and technical support to the product areas
  • Support deep dive reviews where relevant
  • Participate in internal and external audits conducted by the regulators over client assets and money, both within the team and/or assisting Business’
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Business’, Compliance, Audit functions and other key partners
  • Effective issue escalation management
Key Skills:
  • Excel and PowerPoint experience are essential
  • Strong writing skills, with control focus and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Aptitude at relationship building with all types of Business, Operational and Technology partners
     
    Experience Required:
  • Experience in an investment banking regulatory compliance or operational team is essential with strong knowledge of the UK Client Assets rules and MIFID II Safeguarding of Client Asset rules
  • Able to demonstrate working in a control focused environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability over process and control, both over established and required enhancements
  • Attested track record of working to deadlines, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload
