The CIB KYC Policy Interpretation and Implementation team is a key component of JPMorgan’s AML/BSA (Anti Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act) program ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements of all markets in which the Firm operates. This team manages the evaluation of policy changes and new standards, identifies information needed to be implemented across CIB in both KYC Operations and the Sales organization; evaluates quality metrics and other related information; manages governance of policy interpretations and related procedure updates; develops/issues KYC direction, performs deep dives of topics and/or issues identified by policy evaluation, SME and industry forum teams and shares industry best practices.
Corporate and Investment Bank support staff globally with locations in New York, London, Bournemouth, Hong Kong and Singapore.   This is an opportunity for an individual progress their career in a fast growing and highly professional international environment.  The individual will report to the Policy and Interpretation team and work in close partnership with CIB GFCC on the Local Due Diligence assessment and support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to across the CIB on the Appendix X country reviews by perform an assessment of the requirements, rules and guidance for each jurisdiction as they circulate for review. Assume a supporting role in assessment signoff
  • Key  point of contact for stakeholders to raise queries and issues to and subsequently solve problems and drive resolution
  • Responsible for participating in CIB sessions to raise and resolve issues, as needed
  • Provide clarity where there are opportunities to standardize across country requirements.
  • Support Policy & Interpretation team in other areas as needed.
  • Extensive legal and compliance, management consulting,   or equivalent experience in complex financial enterprises; knowledge of Corporate and Investment Bank businesses, risk & controls preferred
  • Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations applicable to CIB business , ideally in a more specific segment such as BSA/AML, Cross Border  or other key themes of Law
  • Strong collaboration, partnership and influencing skills, ability to effectively contribute to a team
  • Individual must be results driven, have attention to detail, and skilled at diplomatically breaking down barriers and obstacles
  • Ability to successfully influence many different groups and individuals to deliver high quality and timely deliverables
  • Maintains a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize/multi-task
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over "Quality". 
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues in writing; strong written communication skills
  • Ability to promote teamwork both within and across groups
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • AML/KYC experience is a definite plus
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
