About Disclosure of Interest Compliance
 
Disclosure Of Interest (‘DOI’) is a critical Compliance function, wherein JPMorgan Chase & Co. (i.e. the ‘Firm’) monitors and discloses its interests in relevant securities to issuers, regulators and/or relevant markets, pursuant to the various laws and regulations across most global jurisdictions in which the Firm operates.
 
The Asia Disclosure of Interest ('DOI') Team aggregates JPMorgan's global positions of securities in the Asia Pacific region across all Lines of Business; primarily Corporate & Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Custody. Due to the highly regulated foreign ownership limits and takeover code regulations in Asia, the DOI Team also disseminates threshold alarm reporting to some jurisdictions to ensure our investment and trading activities work within the stipulated regulations.
 
Functions include and are not limited to:
  • Create monitoring reports by aggregating global positions in Asia Pacific securities in accordance with jurisdictional reporting requirements
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings (along with transaction & position reconciliations, when applicable)
  • Disseminate threshold alarm reporting to relevant parties
  • Support impact analysis on the firm's shareholdings before finalizing and submission of regulatory reports
  • Perform rule-based data collation & analytics to support timely responses to inquiries
  • Prepare tailored-made holdings reports for business groups on an ad-hoc basis
  • Support audit and regulatory requests for information
  • Prepare MIS reports for management on a regular basis
  • Reviewing, implementing & updating control procedures for new products & regulations
  • Run projects to enhance the efficiency of the daily monitoring & report/filing creation processes
  • Assist with the implementation of new/revised processes and systems
Responsibilities
  • Operate in collaborative team environment, conducting daily position monitoring and submission of associated regulatory filings
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
  • Accountable for reviewing market updates - performing comprehensive rule reviews and decision making when disposing or escalating potential filing & monitoring alerts
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive the implementation of initiatives and operational process changes with a focus on innovation
  • Strive to maintain individual and team throughput and quality targets and ensure work meet deadlines
  • Exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
  • Follow and promote a strong controls mindset
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years working experience in a professional environment
  • Interest in Compliance with a general understanding of the financial markets
  • Specific equities and derivatives knowledge an advantage
  • Keen sense of corporate awareness with an understanding of compliance, banking operations, business and corporate support structures
  • Aptitude to understand different business models, product sets, and risk factors across the various lines of business including Private Banking and Investment Banking
  • Strong research, analytical ability, logical thinking and comprehension skills, with ability to analyze and summarize data
  • Controls/Risk management focus - Ensure we remain adaptable and responsive to the changing regulatory landscape
  • Detailed, well organized, self-starter, capable of working under minimal supervision
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in high-pressure environment while maintaining quality output
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for report summarizations and escalations
  • Strong interpersonal skills; results-oriented team player
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and public holidays - as required by management
