Within Asset & Wealth Management Technology, the AWMIAS (Asset & Wealth Management Infrastructure Application Services) organization is launching a Pre-Production support transformation program.  The core objectives of the program are to build a best-in-class support organization, stability & resiliency improvements, and implement innovations that bring efficiencies & automation within the pre-production space.    
This includes partnering with technology program/project managers, business analysts, QA resources, application development teams, and infrastructure support teams to manage, govern, and progress technology deliverables from scoping to implementation, and with the focus of managing the underlying support of the pre-production space.   
 
We are looking for a high caliber Technology Support Manager with a strong technical background.  The successful candidate will have the ability to take on the responsibility of partnering with core application development teams and infrastructure support teams to solidify the pre-production support of application requirements.  This requires embracing the role of a full end-to-end solutions provider, and with a mindset of instilling standard support practices in the space to improve environment stability.

Core Responsibilities:
 
  • Build strong partnerships with core application development teams to facilitate them to adopt to the pre-production support model. 
  • Drive incident management support for application and/or infrastructure breaks in the pre-production environments in partnership with application development and infrastructure support teams. 
  • Manage application and infrastructure system health checks in the pre-production space. 
  • Manage capturing relevant metrics & reporting specific to the pre-production space. 
  • Engage in successfully managing various technology project work streams within the pre-production support transformation program.
Essential skills/experience:
 
  • Consistent demonstration of being an end-to-end solutions provider with the primary focus of pre-production environment support.
  • Strong communications skills at all levels of a technology organization, including ability to manage and coordinate with a variety of cross-functional team members (i.e. project managers, application developers, infrastructure support teams, QA resources, etc.). 
  • Strong technology environment & application support within the distributed applications space, with a strong demonstration on issue-resolution management practices (technical as well as  governance levels with strong analytical/problem solving skills).
  • Strong technology risk management and impact analysis practices, and with a focus to “connect-the-dots” with cross-impact analysis needs across multiple components of enterprise-level and/or shared application platforms.
  • Technical/development experience with relevant technologies such as Javascripting, Java/J2EE, Jquery, JSON, XML, PHP, Perl/shell scripting, Python, Web Development, Web Services, and database technologies.
  • Proficient in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.  Strong general technology background in the distributed applications space (i.e. core server infrastructure, databases, middleware web services, etc.).
  • Experience or knowledge of DevOps would be beneficial
  • Experience of process improvement through automation and scripting is a key function of what we do
