The Asset and Wealth Management’s Infrastructure and Application Services (AWMIAS) technology team develops and manages the suite of applications, infrastructure components and systems that support financial accounting, client reporting, business profitability analysis, information websites, investment engines, pricing databases, decision-making and data processing.  The technologies and business applications we support and provide oversight for include business applications, data centers, servers, desktops, networks, communications systems, contingency sites and much more.

Asset and Wealth Management Infrastructure Application Services’ (AWMIAS) is comprised of a global management team who specialize in:

The Opportunity
In this newly created role we are Application Developer to join an infrastructure aligned development team that supports tools and reporting used by the Asset & Wealth Management Infrastructure and Application Services group.
Key responsibilities:
  • Analyze data in various corporate systems including internal billing systems, asset inventories, etc
  • Create a framework that aligns disparate data sources with technology processes
  • Provide transparency on technology investments with an emphasis on driving management decisions
  • Partner with technology leads and management to create/improve data governance processes
  • Enhance data collection procedures to improve data analytical capabilities
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present results in a clearer manner
  • Design, develop, maintain, and implement ETL solutions
  • Develop automation of data acquisition, transformation, and movement
  • Monitor and administer the automated ETL batch process to verify execution and performance
  • Participate in the ongoing development of technical best practices for ETL including data movement, quality, and cleansing
  • 10+ years of experience working in technology operations with top-tier firms in a large financial or technology organization
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis and governance related responsibilities interfacing with business, technology and application development teams
  • College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in developing business intelligence and data warehousing solutions
  • Ability to maintain ETL solutions for delivery to data warehouse, data mart, and data integration with applications
  • Experience in developing and implementing solutions that brings data from a variety of sources, extract, transform and load to the Data Warehouse database
  • Strong database and SQL programming skills
  • Experience in an industry-standard ETL tool (SSIS/Informatica/Data Stage)
  • Experience with Java is preferred (Spring, Spring Integration, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Rest, JAXB/JAXP, AKKA are all desirable).
  • Ability to design technical solutions to business requirements.
  • Ability to dig into a defect, find a way to reproduce, and suggest a fix.
  • Ability to suggest forms, infer obvious controls when a functional specification is not precise enough.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • 6+ years programming with Oracle, DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, or equivalent relational database
  • Knowledge and experience working within a Unix/Linux Environment
  • Strong Shell, Bash, and scripting experience
  • Knowledge with batch scheduler like Autosys
  • Proven ability to analyze complex processes and systems
  • Experience in the implementation of IT Solutions and overall knowledge of Infrastructure and System Architecture, Data Management, Systems Integration and SQL.
