General level of Job Responsibility
 
The role is responsible for providing local leadership and ensuring execution of the Business Banking Credit Service Center and Business Loan Center operations plan in the Philippines. Key aspects of the role include ensuring superior day to day operational delivery specifically of the financial statement spreading team;   focus on forward planning to address key business needs and concerns, enhancing the operational value of the site and its contribution to the business, and building a highly engaged, customer focused, performance oriented team.  This role is a senior leader for the function at the site and works in close coordination with US-based and local stakeholders including line of business heads in the CSC and BLC, business control and compliance officers and Philippine Global Service Center peer groups. This role will also require working and coordinating with counterparts in Bengaluru.
  • Responsible for the creation of a highly engaged and motivated team, with a customer and service-oriented work culture, focused on ensuring timely delivery of high quality work.
  • Responsible for creating a strong trusting partnership with all stakeholders - local and domestic - across the enterprise
  • Responsible for the development, execution, review and refinement of the group’s work strategies including the use of technology, MIS development and analysis, resource management, and expense management
  • Responsible for employee coaching and development, and ensuring all workplace and line of business policies are adhered to as well as manage personnel decisions including performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations
  • Monitor operations and personnel to assure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies and procedures
  • 12-16 years of total full time work experience, including relevant banking or financial services experience with emphasis on loan processing, underwriting, financial analysis, accounting or audit operations.
  • Understanding of commercial credit structure, loan documentation, bankruptcy and related issues.  Able to assess and articulate risk associated with requested exceptions to established credit policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem solving skills:  able to analyze and articulate business issues and provide appropriate solutions
  • Previously managed at least a 40+ person operations, with demonstrated capability to develop talent and manage team performance.
  • Strong execution track record and managing change
  • Demonstrated strong leadership with proven ability to build professional teams
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working with multiple virtual teams to drive initiatives
