The Data Management & Analytics group is the central technology organization that is responsible for enabling and enforcing superior Data Management and analytical technology across JP Morgan’s including consumer and community banking businesses.
 
As part of this function, we provide oversight for all technology projects to ensure excellent planning, design, execution and delivery; provide enterprise-level development resources for shared applications and services; and are responsible for advising JP Morgan’s management about the technology landscape. We provide oversight in various forms – from program/project management oversight to development and quality assurance to general architectural guidance.
 
The  UI application developer is responsible for owning and driving the technical innovation  in user interface for firm wide big data initiative. The individual is a subject matter expert technologist with strong Java experience and very knowledgeable with web based data visualization and integration of Open Source software including Big Data Concepts/Ecosystem and APIs. This individual will be expected to have a deep understanding and application of enterprise software design for implementation of user interface.
 
Experience
  • Design Experience in Large Complex Multi-terabyte data environments
  • Solid understanding of design patterns
  • Solid understanding of application program interfaces (APIs), messaging software and interoperability techniques and standards
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for testing
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
  • Team collaboration maintaining exceptional code, architecture and documentation
  • Detail oriented with a commitment to innovation
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation or work with light requirements in iterative fashion.
  • 5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation. Design Patterns, Service Patterns
  • 5+ years experience with Java/Spring Open Source/SQL
  • 3+ JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular/JQuery
  • Exposure to Apache Hadoop ecosystem
  • Exposure building Restful Services.
  • Experience working in both Unix and Windows environments.
 
Desired Skills
  • Experience D3.js, Nodes.js, react.js etc.
  • 1+ years experience working with restful service, Mybatis, Spring framework
  • Exposure to Open Source technologies Maven, Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Graddle
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS.
  • Angular.js2 or similar Javascript framework
  • Full-stack web developers
  • Experience with web charts/graphs (Angular charts preferred, for creating user-defined processor mappings), d3, or draw2d.
  • Java (all work to & from Mongo are going to be java based queries / calls)
  • Spring Data / Spring Data
  • Spring Boot
  • Conceptual knowledge of NoSQL database technologies
  • 5 years hands-on experience
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
