The DNA team has a firm wide remit to deliver a broad set of data management capabilities including the overall functional and technical vision for data governance.

Role Description & Scope:
The FDM Functional vision describes the development of data governance and management capabilities by the FDM Pillars (Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Business Glossary, Data Integration etc.) to deliver incremental value for the firm. This is coupled with a technical vision for architecture to implement it.
At the center of this architecture is the DNA platform. DNA authors, sources and distributes Facts about Data at JPMC that help the firm improve its data management and data governance capabilities front-to-back. The product includes features related to:
- Data Lineage
- Data Authority
- Data Catalog
- Data Governance Roles
- Data Controls
- Data Quality Issues and Scores
- Data Use
The Business & Functional Analyst will partner with the various pillars across Firm Wide Data Management (Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Lineage, Business Glossary, Data Integration etc.) to design a coherent Functional Architecture satisfying the requirements across all FDM priorities.
The Analyst will own the orchestration for some of the functional components and features in this architecture, with a goal to best realize business value for the Firm by influencing the sequencing and prioritization of delivery within the FDM pillars.
With DNA being the central part in the FDM technology ecosystem, the Analyst will work closely with DNA advocates to get a deep understanding of use cases for DNA adoption and of Critical Business Initiative priorities across Lines of Businesses.
The Analyst will engage with various Agile technology teams to help execute on the FDM functional vision by assisting in translating user stories to roadmaps and backlogs.
The Analyst will review various sample data sets across, for example, data flows, data authority, data quality issues, controls etc.
- Graduate or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Proven experience in Data Management, Data Governance or Cross-Functional Change the Bank data transformation initiatives in a Financial Institution
- Strong Analytical skills to formulate and implement strategies in a complex environment.
- Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and in matrixed organizations.
- Experience working in Agile teams and performing iterative requirements analysis is a plus.
- Data Modelling and Information Architecture experience is a plus
