The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team resides within Corporate Finance. The group is responsible for the execution and delivery against the Firm’s regulatory reporting requirements to its U.S. regulators. The team has end-to-end responsibility for US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including the design, implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, control and governance frameworks. Its mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the Firm’s US regulatory reporting and capital stress testing submissions, as well as the implementation of new requirements and guidelines as they are published. The objectives of the FRRA Team are to provide leadership on all aspects of US regulatory reporting and firmwide capital stress-testing, including both internal and regulatory requirements.  The Control Team’s focus is on continuously improving and enhancing the control environment.


Analyst Responsibilities


The Analyst role on the Controls team provides an opportunity to interact with all of the teams across FRRA, including Corporate Capital Stress Testing team, Capital Reporting, Consolidated Reporting, Standalone Reporting and Strategic Initiatives as well as significant interaction with the Corporate Finance Oversight & Control group. The candidate will be responsible for managing the control program agenda for FRRA including User Tool Program compliance, FORCE issue management, record retention compliance and other control initiatives (e.g. Business Continuity, FRRA Shared Drive and Sharepoint controls).


This role requires the individual to:


  • Establishing and managing relationships with the various teams across FRRA through ongoing partnership and dialogue
  • Manage compliance with UT Program, including quarterly confirmations and UT Inventory in UWAT (User Tool Workflow and Assessment Tool)
  • Manage FORCE action plans closure templates with AP and control owners to ensure steps taken completely address and close out the related issue 
  • Deliver regular metrics to management related to status of control issues
  • Assist with Firmwide record retention initiatives for FRRA, including providing support for FRRA record retention working group
  • Perform monthly control checks on FRRA owned shared drives and Sharepoint site access
  • Execute on other strategic control related initiatives as needed
  • Candidate requirements:
    • Analyst level
    • 2+ years related experience
    • Knowledge of US Regulatory reporting requirements, external reporting control concepts, and/or financial services and related products

    • Knowledge of, or direct experience in, external reporting related processes and control
    • Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and demonstrate critical thinking
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong communications skills; inquisitive and proactive about asking questions
    • Ability to work on multiple priorities at the same time
    • Strong analytical skills and written communications
