Job Description:
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Mortgage Bankers and financial institutions who meet eligibility requirements. The position requires travel including weekends to conferences and other business meetings.
The Correspondent Account Executive position will:
  • Establish and maintain Correspondent relationships with new and existing Correspondents within a territory as determined by the. Division Sales Manager
  • Provide training to Correspondents on Chase policy, procedures, products, programs and technology.
  • Cross sell other Chase products as directed.
  • Act as liaison between Correspondent lender and Chase internal partners.
  • Resolve issues on loans, analyze loan performance, assess customer risk factors, and address recourse and recovery issues as needed.
  • Manage expenses as directed by Division Sales Manager.
  • Execute strategies as determined by Division Sales Manager which result in incremental business for Correspondent Division.
  • Identify prospective accounts and facilitate new application process with Customer Management
  • Keep Chase systems updated with current and accurate customer information.
  • Monitor loan and customer performance reports and address timely as appropriate.
Know the customer.  It is the AE's responsibility to have an in depth understanding of the Correspondent's business; how the Correspondent's company is structured, what their business plan is, what their strategies are, their financial stability, the quality of their loans, what the risks are and how to mitigate risk.


Core Competencies: Individuals must have proven track record in gaining a working knowledge of mortgage loan pricing, Correspondent contract requirements, and understanding potential risks of mortgage banking. They must be capable of gaining general mortgage loan credit policy and loan purchase process knowledge in a short period of time (<90 days).Talents and skills must be matched with the ability to facilitate issues and opportunities between Chase and clients with reasonable guidance from their manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Sales effectiveness: Individuals must have the ability to understand client needs, communicate Chase priorities, and identify opportunities to increase product penetration.
  2. Revenue Management: Responsible for monitoring revenue results, identifying opportunities, and managing client level pricing to maximize revenue.
  3. Risk Management: Responsible for identifying risks through interactions with all levels of the client (Admin – Executive), responding to requests from Counterparty Risk Management , and facilitating the resolution of all client risk events (Negative news, legal actions, poor performance)
  4. Prospecting: building the active client base by identifying new clients, solicitation of Chase products, facilitating approval process and leading new client orientation.
Knowledge and Experience:
Individuals must have at least 3 years experience with direct exposure to most of the following areas:
            Relationship Management
            Product development
            Mortgage Finance
            Mortgage Origination Operations (Underwriting, Processing, Loan Delivery)
Minimum Bachelors degree
Unique Requirements:
  • Highly motivated and organized individuals that can be effective working remotely  (Work-at-home)
  • Highly competent at using Personal Computer, Managing remote system connection, navigating multiple systems and software types.
  • Proven analytical skills needed to analyze issues/opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Effective interactions with Executives, Loan Originators and capital Markets managers.
