Job Description:
 
We are seeking an experienced Java J2EE - Software Engineer to design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document programming to satisfy business requirements. Develop and test enterprise applications that meet the needs of the business. Integrate vendor functions into various applications and application environments. Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing break-fix solutions and enhancements for applications within new and mature technology environments. Collaborate with Operations and other support teams to continually enhance and improve ability to provide system availability.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and deliver on multiple project streams simultaneously.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new software components on E2E projects.
  • Interface with Business users as necessary for defining requirements and streamlining design.
  • Ensure compliance to established JPMC’s policies, guidelines, processes and technology controls
  • Conduct design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to coding standards.
  • Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance.
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer science, Engineering, Math or related technical fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Java/J2EE with at least 2 years senior level hands on experience in Spring
  • Knowledge of Ibatis, Hibernate or any persistence layer technology.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of SOAP/RESTful based Service implementation.
  • Should possess excellent object-oriented design skills with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of agile software development methodologies
  • Good conceptual knowledge of application security.
  • Comfortable working in a UNIX environment.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of multithreaded application development.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication.
  • Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, & decision making skills.
     
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Marklogic or NoSQL database.
  • User Interface frameworks – JQuery/Ajax.
