The Program Manager will be responsible for collaborating with key GTI senior stakeholders and responsible parties to develop and manage GTI's North America Applications & Services Migrations/Transformations plans from Legacy Datacenters to Strategic Datacenters in support of the Global Strategic Datacenter Program.  He/She will have a direct line responsibility relationship to the overall Global Datacenter Strategy - Migrations Program Lead.

Program Execution

Overall accountability for the Implementation of multiple projects delivered under a Program umbrella, Technology Platform or Other Platforms
Develop, maintain & monitor the short-term & long-term roadmap/project plan of the program and develops business cases  (in collaboration with the Project Manager) to support strategic vision/direction as necessary
Establishes Communication Strategy and Governance process and meetings. Ensure all stakeholders are aware of major changes of direction, priorities and cross impacts
Identifies single sponsor for program level reporting, escalations and accountability.  Builds relationships with Sponsor and key stakeholders to quickly address program level issues and actions
Determines and sets effective team structure, including roles, responsibilities, and priorities
Ensures effective compliance with Scope, Change Control and Tollgate processes across the Program
Works closely with Resource Managers on the project pipeline to ensure the right skill-set Project Managers are assigned to support the specific project and program.
Project Managers will have a dotted-line reporting relationship and direct accountability to the Program Manager
Provides guidance  to project managers (Project Life Cycle, best practices, content/subject matter expertise, leadership, project requirements understanding, etc.) and provides project oversight

Demand and Finance management

Participates in annual planning for program in interlocks, estimating, and prioritization
Oversees program financials in the program and ensures alignment with investment id’s
Work Experience
10+ years experience working within an IT project environment with at least 7 – 10 years program management experience a significant amount of which has been at the senior staff level. Proven record of ownership, accountability and driving the successful delivery of complex technical based programs and projects on time and within budget
Extensive experience in managing programs and projects through all phases of the life cycle and expert  working knowledge of an industry recognized Project Management methodology
Strong knowledge of industry standard project management  tools for financial and project reporting. (i.e. Clarity, Beeline, etc.)
Extensive experience building, managing, and motivating a cohesive and effective direct and matrixed team regardless of physical location and cultural background of team members. Proven ability to build strong partnerships with senior leaders and Project stakeholders
Strong  experience and knowledge of technologies, systems, drivers and trends in global investment banking environments backed by a solid understanding of the banking industry fundamentals. Experience and understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, risk and security aspects
Broad knowledge of data center network, distributed and mainframe technologies and enabling infrastructure.


Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent professional experience preferably in the financial services industry
PMP, MSP, Six Sigma, or other formal project management discipline preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be able to communicate across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command
Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
Ability to present metrics to senior stakeholders
