Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions (WCAS)
The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses and for ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit Risk. WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses.
WCAS provides excellent exposure to any candidate interested in Credit Risk, Basel regulations, and Economic Capital. The team works across the Wholesale bank and is closely aligned with firm-wide partners including Reporting, Finance, Model Risk & Development, Technology and the Regulatory Capital Management Office. We seek candidates with strong skills in finance, analytics, problem-solving, and communication.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering the data and executing results production for the wholesale loans and commitment portfolio to meet the new IFRS9 requirements for allowance, as well as supporting the parallel process for stress testing.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Liaise with WCAS partners and LOBs to collect data and further refine the required data inputs
- Helping to schedule and plan for all production/testing needs
- Identify and help to solve any process issues from data acquisition through results production
- Collect feedback from all stakeholders and help to create realistic and timely solutions
- Help to act as a quality control on all major deliveries as well as creating formal governance and controls on the same
- Help to document processes to further control and governance
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
At least 3 – 5 years of experience working in Risk Management, Finance, Internal Audit or other control function.
Independent worker used to delivering on-time without direct oversight
Tableau and analytic familiarity
Must be familiar with the software development lifecycle
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, organized and possess a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work and solve problems independently and excel in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment.
Experience with wholesale loans and commitments product and systems, as well as the Credit Risk Infrastructure / Credit Mart (CRI) and its data flows, is a plus.
Ancillary coding knowledge (VBA, Python) a plus
BA/BS degree required; Master degree or CFA a plus
