Role Description:
The core role will be supporting the EMEA IB Financial Institutions team in the following capacity:
  • Point of contact for IB front office and support functions to help identify, facilitate and achieve business objectives
  • Help communicate the business strategy, performance and priorities
  • Provide strategic analysis and reporting to facilitate business progression
  • Ensure the business is aligned with key control and support functions (such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, Audit, Technology, etc)
  • Help manage business risk by ensuring an effective control environment
  • Ensure the business is in compliance with LOB and corporate-wide objectives and policies
  • Build effective relationships and work closely with other F&BM colleagues (Planning & Analysis, Finance Controllers, Country/Product business managers, Office Management) 
Summary of Core Responsibilities: 
  • Oversight of weekly performance reporting, incl. Revenues, Dealogic ranking, progression vs year-end budget
  • Maintenance of the project pipeline, ensuring accuracy of the information stored in the pipeline systems
  • Management of client coverage lists and client reference data across all systems
  • Provide assistance to front office in key steps of the project: client onboarding, KYC, Sanctions Due diligence, etc
  • Key Point of Contact for ensuring business adherence to end-to-end deal life-cycle controls
  • Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc business performance presentations/reviews
  • Work with the Business Manager to organise client and business events
  • Events tracking and budget oversight. T&E expense review and exception approval
  • Headcount analysis and reporting
  • Partner with Technology to support bankers in best practice usage of iBanker, iMeet, iMemo, Intensity, DASH and Dealworks
  • Contribution to the EMEA/Global F&BM agenda (priorities, projects, events)
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Understanding of Investment Banking and Capital Markets products, systems and processes
  • Strong organisational, project and time management skills;  flexibility, ability to dynamically prioritise requests and multi-task in the face of ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated and effective under pressure
  • Strong analytical and numeric skills, understanding of financial statements, excellent attention to detail. Able to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships and influence others, across multiple disciplines and across levels of seniority
  • Ability to work well individually and partner effectively within a team
  • Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to continuous improvement
