Department summary:


The Finance Organisation is responsible for the management and execution of the Finance activity of the J.P. Morgan subsidiaries, branches and the Lines of Business (LOBs) across Australia and New Zealand. The team ensures the integrity of the books and records of the legal entities and is as such accountable for the legal entity regulatory filings. Principal regulatory relationships include relationships with APRA, RBNZ, ASIC, ASX, SFE, ABS and RBA.

The Corporate Tax team is responsible for managing the tax affairs of the J.P. Morgan legal entities in Australia, including compliance obligations with the Australian Taxation Office. Corporate Tax also advises the various lines of business on tax issues as they arise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reliable and confidential operational assistance to the, Senior Finance Officer (SFO), Head of Tax, Legal Entity Control (LEC) team (approx. 25 employees) and Tax team (approx. 5 employees).
  • Ensure effective utilisation of SFO’s & Head of Tax’s time by managing their diary, arranging appointments and responding to meeting requests and invitations on their behalf
  • Confidentially, tactfully and diplomatically manage phone calls
  • Coordination of both domestic and international travel; 
  • Order and manage office supplies and equipment 
  • Onboarding/Offboarding new team members and auditors
  • Work closely with the accounting team in Bangalore and provide assistants with local support on Concur system and assist in escalations when required
  • Ensure EA group are kept up to date with any changes in accounts payable items and provide training when/if required
  • Prepare invoices and expense reports 
  • Cheque deposit processing and urgent cheque raising


  • 3 years experience as an administrator in a large corporate environment
  • Computer literacy (all Microsoft Office applications)
  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service

  • Demonstrate the utmost discretion and professionalism at all times, including a professional phone manner
  • Flexible
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Quick turn around of requests/project items
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with various levels of seniority.
