The Cybersecurity organization’s objective is to ensure that JPMC is able to effectively detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats against our technology infrastructure.  The scope of Cybersecurity comprises detection and monitoring of threats and vulnerabilities, managing security incidents, and evolving our preventive infrastructure to keep ahead of the threat.  We accomplish this through strong information security leadership and active collaboration with line of business information risk managers to provide high quality security solutions and services that are focused on improving the Firm's risk posture.
As a Web Fraud Security Engineer you will design, develop, test and implement JPMorgan Chase & Co online fraud detection and prevention security solutions. This position will work within the Security Engineering team in partnership with the firm’s Architecture and Operations teams as well as with various banking lines of business. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of practical networking, development, engineering, administration, IT and security skills.
In this particular role we are seeking an innovative contributor with excellent web app development skills, with a solid understanding of the backend architecture that supports these web apps and, most importantly, with a desire to adapt these skills to help further secure our institution’s and customer’s intellectual and financial assets
  • Proven IT experience supporting cyber security solutions to include, but not limited to security engineering, threat intelligence, malware prevention or data analytics.
  • Full-Stack Development experience, ideally within the MVC conceptual software architecture.
  • Experience with web fraud detection products such as RSA Web Threat Detection (Silvertail), Symantec Bluecoat, Shape, F5 or NetWitness highly desired.
  • Experience in eCommerce specific to banking portals, online authentication, identity and fraud protection highly desired.
  • Experience in the following :
    • Web protocols and technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, HTML, PKI, Apache
    • TCP/IP Analysis (tcpdump/Wireshark)
    • Linux and/or RedHat (RHEL)/UNIX operations and management
    • Scripting in Shell (bash,ksh) and/or Python
    • Splunk searching, alerting, reports and dashboards
    • Deploying, building, or engineering applications in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, Softlayer, Cloud Foundry)
  • Skilled in and committed to end-to-end automation of varied systems and workflows.
  • Experience working within an Agile framework.
  • Capable of creating clear, accurate, concise documentation.
  • Ability to support and liaise with business process owners to incorporate threat management products and provisions into their processes.
  • Ability to communicate security and fraud technology related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, including senior business leaders
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with other areas to advocate information security solutions.
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to understand and decision problems that involve trade-offs between security, cost containment and timeliness of service. 
High Security Access (HSA)
This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
