The Wealth Management division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. is part of the Asset & Wealth Management business segment. With assets under management of $1.6 trillion, J.P. Morgan Asset Management (AM) is one of the largest asset and wealth managers in the world. The International trust Services (ITS) sub-division provides trustee and related fiduciary services to high wealth individuals situated around the world.
The successful candidate will be a part of a global team which is involved in the development, implementation and ongoing support of the International Trusts technology projects. The individual will be responsible for developing and supporting applications internal as well as vendor with a specific focus on introducing and maturing DevOps techniques. They will also have to provide support to the execution of the data and accounting conversions as required. The selected candidate will be a key member of the team supporting the multi year strategic conversion of accounting and administration data from legacy platforms to target vendor platforms.
- Analysis of data and development of extraction routines from source systems in the format expected by the target platform
- Package the code appropriately and automate the deployment of the artifacts to target test and/or production servers
- Active participation with the front office and operations users and stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
- Support production rollouts of the developed functionality by partnering closely with the Application Support and Infrastructure teams
- Security setup and environment management
- Automation of Stress and performance tests
•10+ Years programming experience, preferably within the financial industry
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in a technical or analytical field with preferred focus on Computer Science
•Advanced proficiency in writing and debugging stored procedures and scripts in MSSQL and Sybase
•Proficient with Unix Shell Scripting and/or Perl and/or Python
•Proficient with SPLUNK
•Experience in communicating with senior business and Ops stakeholders for problem solving and investigatory work.
•Proficient with Informatica and/or Pentaho and Job Schedulers like Autosys
•Proficient understanding of source code versioning tools and techniques especially SVN and/or BitBucket as well as JIRA
•Experience in working with global teams , Agile methodologies
•Experience with automation of release Management procedures, deployments of modules into UAT and Production environments would be a plus
•Some travel may potentially be required to Nassau(Bahamas) or Glasgow(Scotland)
•Prior experience in large financial organizations with disparate technologies and hands on work to glue or integrate different technology stacks would be advantageous
