The Corporate Technology (CT) organization engineers applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

 

CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

 

A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

• Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments

• Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms

• Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions

• Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles

• Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency

 

Technology Controls (TC) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase’s Controls and IT Risk agendas with a focus on risk reduction, stability, security, delivery, resiliency and efficiencies. TC’s focus on standardization, consistency and simplicity fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across JPMorgan Chase. The disciplines within this organization are Oversight & Controls Technology, Cloud Controls, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management.

 

The Control Systems Technology provides strategic application development & production support across three client portfolios: Oversight & Control, Technology Controls and select Compliance Programs.

 

The UI / Java Software Engineer is responsible for providing high quality technology solutions that address the business needs for Technology Controls team supporting Compliance. In this role, the Software Engineer will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the project including design, build, test and implementation phases, ensuring quality and accuracy is maintained and on-going support. The developer is also responsible for maintaining the health of the application by running it against SSAP, Blackduck and Performance Scans. The Software Engineer is also required to work with business users, business analysts and offshore team. Prepare real life mockup of the application for all application releases. The developer should be able to innovate new solutions on the legacy application.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business  and business analysts to provide them visualization on business requirements via mockups.
  • Development and support of Applications and services as specified by our business partners. This includes developing new features and problem identification and resolution.   
  • Adhere to all corporate and departmental standards and policies.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Web based applications as needed.
  • Tune application code for optimal performance from a UI perspective.
  • Work with business customers to understand application/ project requirements for new projects and enhancements.
  • Organize multiple work tasks and prioritize them to meet deadlines.
  • Help end-users using a "consultative" approach.
  • Trouble shoot issues reported by end-users (Application and Data).
  • Work with a onshore/offshore model.
  • 5-10 years experience with AngularJS and/or CanJS framework and well versed with J2EE architecture.
  • 5-7 years experience with CSS, HTML 5, JQuery.
  • 5-7 years with SVN/Git-Stash.
  • 3+ years experience with configuring and troubleshooting Apache Tomcat.
  • 3+ years experience with Oracle Server is highly desired.
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile Development Process.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with AutoSys, Control-M or other enterprise task scheduling solutions.
  • Experience with Cognos.
  • Experience with Load/Performance/Capacity engineering.
