Within Chase, Card Services consist of Credit Card and Commerce Solutions.  Credit Card offers a wide variety of general purpose and partner based credit cards to meet the needs of consumers, small businesses and corporate clients.  Commerce Solutions is the global payment processing, merchant acquiring and marketing solutions business of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

 

Card Services Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of Card Services’ financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle. The group performs critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory. The team is also responsible for accounting, forecasting and reporting for Chase Bank USA, N.A. (CUSA), a national bank in the JPMC chain.

 

This position will be part of the Credit Card Legal Entity and Resolution Planning team and will be primarily responsible for all aspects of Resolution Planning for the Credit Card line of business, which will include planning of resources, ensuring proper governance for the process, documentation of risks and controls and general improvements to the process.

 

The role will require regular interactions with teams throughout Card Services, such as Finance and Business Management, Legal Entity Controllers, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Real Estate and the CCB Resolution PMO team.

 

Key Responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Manage all aspects of the Credit Card Resolution process, includes coordinating with CCB Resolution team as well as other Card Resolution plan owners, managing timelines and planning resources appropriately
  • Provide management with support for a complex reporting process to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of the Resolution Planning and Recovery Planning documentation for the Credit Card  line of  business and in-scope critical operations
  • Update and maintain documentation to support the individual plans, and other appendix-related information
  • Prepare Management and/or Board of Directors presentations to facilitate review of the Credit Card Resolution and Recovery Plans
  • Ensure results are in compliance with Resolution reporting requirements and proper governance framework
  • Ensure processes are compliant with “Audit Ready All the Time” culture (Standard Operating Procedures, RCSA, UT/Model governance)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (other business disciplines will be considered)
  • 7+ years Financial Analysis or project management experience; credit card industry and/or regulatory experience preferred
  • Experience in managing resources in direct and matrix environments
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks/resources
  • Ability to manage a process, proactively evaluating potential roadblocks to solve and/or escalate in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence others and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • ·Self-motivated, intellectually curious individual – has the courage to challenge existing processes and offer suggestions for improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
