Team Overview
This role will be part of a global team, delivering new capabilities and supporting existing applications across Asset Wealth Management. Projects are run in collaboration with the Asset Wealth Management Infrastructure Application Services teams.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Java developer who is comfortable both getting into technical solutions and hands on development.

This role will over time bridge several of the applications in our area, and the enhancement agenda we are looking to deliver. Projects in this area include secure communication, data visualization, infrastructure automation and other highly visible efforts to offer new and robust capabilities.

Required/Highly Desirable Skills:

•Proven track record in Java software development
•Highly self-motivated and an excellent communicator
•Experience of Agile development methodology, such as Scrum or XP
•Working directly with the product owner and wider global development team
•Object Oriented software design
•Strong Core Java
•Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, JUnit
•GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA.
•Databases: Oracle, Sybase, Postgres, H2 - strong SQL
•XML, JSON, Protocol Buffers
•Messaging – MQ/JMS/Mule/Kafka
•Web Services
•Java Multithreading, Security and Performance
•Technical analysis and design of business solutions
•Excellent problem solving, reasoning and debugging skills
•Research and prototype new technologies and features as appropriate.
•Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit testing, documentation and maintenance as appropriate.
•Occasional support for Production releases scheduled after office hours
•Continuous improvement of our tooling and processes to enable us to deliver more value
Desirable Skills/Experience:

•Node JS, Angular JS, Bower, Grunt
Experience of Maven build technology and continuous integration
