JPMC’s KYC Operations is one of the top priorities across the bank. KYC Operations is responsible for conducting core due diligence on KYC requirements across several LOB’s and this role will be for managing KYC Operations for one of the LOB’s.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Core Operations Management: Become an SME on the LOB KYC policies, Procedures, systems and process. Manage teams led by Associate’s to ensure successful service delivery across geographies to various stakeholders across the globe.
  • People Leadership: Attract, retain and develop top talent. Develop and maintain a world class productive team. Ensure strong focus on short and long term objectives, training, succession planning, career development, and managing career opportunities
  • Global stakeholder management: Maintain a harmonious relationship with global stakeholders across different Lines of Business & Compliance, effectively syndicating on relevant issues, influencing to arrive at the right decisions
  • Controls Mindset: Ensure operational practices are in compliance with relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment. Responsible for Errors, Business Continuity, SOX, RED Events, Breaches/Incidents, Quality Checks and Quality Assurance
  • Delivery of Strategic Programmes:  Support and manage the delivery of the Firm’s strategic programmes in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritized, escalated and managed in a timely and open fashion.  This includes effective resource management (project / people / technology), and all budgetary and economic elements of delivery
  • Change Leadership: Lead/ Contribute to the change initiatives in a seamless manner in close partnership with the global stakeholders.  The successful individual will effect improvement across all aspects of delivery and Target Operating Model.
  • Re-engineering Initiatives: Design, implement and successfully deliver Efficiency and Standardization initiatives. Additionally partner with Technology and the lines of business, to deep-dive and identify potential opportunities and drive towards executable solutions, improving controls and delivering cost saves.
 
 

 

 

 Qualification & Experience 
  • MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 15+ years of overall Operations experience of which 3-5 years in core KYC space with a top-tier Bank / BPO, including 3+ years senior managerial experience motivating and leading teams
  • Be able to get into minute details and get first hands on view on process, systems, procedures and policies to build self SME skills. At the same time bring Strategic thinking, good business judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with key stakeholders, business partners and other support functions.
  • Connect to communicate and work in a cross-functional team to achieve common goals.
  • Controls mindset, strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver on commitments
  • Must be a great team player with a high degree of flexibility, prepared to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, should be comfortable dealing with senior management
  • Structured and Disciplined in approach, with strong execution focus and strong organization skills
  • Proactive control and risk management, addressing gaps in processes and escalating issues to benefit the business and clients in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to successfully influence many different groups and individuals to deliver high quality and timely deliverables
  • Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency across MS Office suite
  • Experience working with senior leaders straddling across Technology, Operations and Strategy a plus
