Role Description

 

iDDA (International DDA) is part of Global Liquidity and Account Services and it is the golden source of confirmed transaction postings and account balances for both internal and client accounts.  The lack of intraday services from the DDA has resulted in the proliferation of systems across client reporting, corporate treasury and credit management that derive intraday balances from non-confirmed sources. Real-time Account Information Service (RAISe) is a product that has been built as part of GLAS Real-time Transformation that brings value across both Clients and JP Morgan’s cash management functions enabling a shift from batch end of day to intraday cash management/reconciliation and liquidity control. RAISe will deliver confirmed intraday cash postings and account related information from iDDA to the consumers of this data, within the bank for onward presentation/use

 

The successful candidate will be part of Agile Feature team based in Bournemouth. The role requires very strong Java skills and is expected to work on enhancing / building new frameworks for the Application The candidate will have a need to closely liaise with the Architecture, Product Owner and Technology Infrastructure groups throughout the various stages of development and implementation lifecycle. Building a successful working relationship with key parties is crucial in this role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Applicants are sought for an Application Development role within the iDDA Middleware AD team. Application Delivery has ownership of infrastructure build, application design and development, system testing, change control, deployment and implementation of the final solution.
  • The role will encompass a multitude of activities ranging from design and development of the Java application, execution of system & performance testing, and support of subsequent testing lifecycles to implementation of packages.
  • Participation in the out-of-hours support callout rota, providing production support cover.

 

Essential:
  • Core Java development experience
  • Good exposure on Java / J2EE technologies including Spring, Hibernate, Microservices etc.
  • SQL (ideally Oracle 10/11G RAC)
 
Desirable:
  • Agile application delivery and test driven development
  • UI skills (Angular,Javascript,HTML5,CSS)
  • Build tools such as Ant, Maven etc
  • MQ messaging
  • XML
  • SSL security
  • Autosys
  • UNIX Solaris 10 / Linux
  • Subversion or IT experience
  • JenkinsREST Services, SOAP Services
  • Eclipse
  • Experience of working in a financial environment & knowledge of payments processing systems
  • An understanding of file transfer and messaging environments
  • Experience of High Availability architecture designs in an Active-Active application model
