The APAC Payroll Quality team is a newly formed team within HRSD encompassing both Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities that are performed to evaluate the adherence of business products, processes, or activities relative to internal and external requirements.
Role Summary
The Quality Analyst will report to the APAC Payroll Quality Lead and will concentrate on a number of operational aspects to the APAC Payroll Quality program. This will include understanding the payroll processes and applying the Quality control and assurance checks so that the product, process, or activity is free of errors and adheres to internal and external expectations.
This will include the development and management of daily and weekly operations and compliance reporting necessary to run the program, and creating and managing a Quality scorecard that will be communicated to executive management during monthly operational business reviews.  This individual will need to partner closely with Third-Party vendors, JPMC Payroll teams across APAC, JPMC HR Technology teams in order to achieve success.
  • Run or partner with Country Payroll on post payroll reports to perform the required checks.
  • Partner with Country Payroll on payroll for the performing the following activities: Post Payroll Audits; Local Regulatory Reporting Monitoring; Data Analysis - Scorecard Reporting and any other trends; Adherence on Vendor invoice payments; Governance around Access Recertification
  • Partner with Country Payroll in performing completeness check on SOPs, checklists, write-ups; participate in Payroll project testing; check and track to closure the country Regulatory updates/ changes impacting Payroll.
  • Perform Spot checks on RCA/ RED action plans across the country payroll operations.
  • Review and report on employee compliance with regards to the program
  • Partner with country payroll and participate in the annual wage coder review to ensure accurate wage code governance. Perform spot check on wage code maintenance process.
  • Partner with Program Management Office to build and implement proper testing protocol for internal and vendor systems releases, and further ensuing defects and service breaks are remediated
  • Manage large amounts of employee confidential data and generate customized reports
  • Continuously test that process controls are effectively working and partner with lines of business and/or Third-Party vendors to ensure compliance
  • Assist the team further by evaluating processes to incorporate efficiencies and/or identify areas for improvement
  • Act as a member of the team providing support to management, as needed, for daily work assignments, projects and team support
  • Provide additional support within department as necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be process-oriented; a problem solver with excellent analytical skills
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills using Microsoft Excel; v look-up, pivot tables, formulas experience required
  • Experience in payroll desired
  • Understanding of project management life cycle and its key components
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Effective at building and maintaining relationships with clients at all levels
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle and resolve employee data related issues
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proven ability to quickly master understanding of program processes and procedures; internal and external to the function.
