Overview:
The CAO and Technology Training Team provide best-in-class training products and services to support business priorities and to attract and retain top talent in the industry. The position involves global, regional, and business-specific people initiatives supporting primarily the CAO and Technology organizations in APAC.
 
Role Summary
 
The ideal candidate must poses a unique combination of technical, analytical, communication, facilitation, project management skills and a passion for Learning & Development. The candidate approaches all tasks and projects with integrity, adherence to Firm policies as well as awareness and sensitivity to the heightened regulatory environment.
 
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the CAO and Technology teams in the Asia Pacific region with their training needs and priorities. It will equally involve leading projects regionally and globally. Training facilitation will also be expected for someone in this role.
 
This role offers a dynamic and multi-faceted exposure across the Learning and Development space ranging from relationship management, leading projects and facilitating classes.
 
The main functions of the team are as follows:
  • Relationship Management – partner with business stakeholders in identifying, driving and implementing training solutions to advance knowledge, skills and capabilities across the Technology and Operations teams. This involves staying current through ongoing partnership with the business on their priorities in the face of internal and external changes.
  • Program Management – own and manage training projects at a local, regional, and global scale through collaboration with colleagues and business partners across locations.
  • Data Analytics – provide relevant and material data to help business leads in decisions involving people development
  • Vendor Management – liaise and partner with vendors to ensure delivery of quality programs
  • Logistics – partner with L&D operations team to ensure seamless execution and logistics including: scheduling, room booking, multi-media, program evaluation/feedback summaries, data entry/extraction from Training Central (LMS) and communication of logistics with participants and partners.
  • Process Improvement – proactively identify opportunities for improvement and propose enhancements while adhering to global processes and standards to deliver consistent client experience across all programs and locations.
  • Program Facilitation – facilitate and deliver J.P. Morgan courses to employees across the region
 
The successful candidate will have a passion for training and the following qualifications:
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgment in understanding business dynamics
  • Operate effectively under pressure; able to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong organization and time management skills in a dynamic environment; ability to work independently and escalate, as appropriate
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and present fact-based summaries and reports
  • Control mindset which is evident by adherence to controls and standards
  • Proven ability and desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation at appropriate junctures
  • Ability to work in a matrix management structure
  • Ability to work flexible hours, especially during peak times
  • High-level of proficiency in MS-Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to travel as needed preferred
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred
  • Strong facilitation and/or coaching skills preferred
  • Experience of process improvement preferred
