Overview:

Chase Merchant Services Pricing team sits within Finance and reports to the CFO. There are three pillars of work that the team is engaged in:

§  Pricing Strategy and Analysis - Perform strategic pricing analyses, deliver insights and recommendations to improve business performance. Build next-gen pricing tools and frameworks to generate efficiencies  

 

§  Pricing Transformation - Reengineer pricing capabilities/tools and the overall operating model and reshape the way pricing activities are performed

 

§  Pricing Execution - Maintain pricing capabilities/tools for the business (allowing for self-service); price custom/bespoke deals for large merchants

 

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Executive Director to lead the Transformation pillar and over time provide leadership to various strategic and analytical initiatives. The individual will manage 2-3 high performers and provide coaching and mentoring to junior talent across the larger Pricing team. Examples of the scope of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

§  Lead consolidation of various pricing methodologies into a single pricing framework, globally

§  Own and shape the go-forward global pricing methodology for Chase Merchant Services  

§  Understand the payments industry competitive landscape and develop winning strategies to grow Chase market share and profitability

§  Lead a team of analysts in the development and refinement of pricing and profitability models, for new and existing products and services

§  Build a deep understanding of cost drivers for the business and apply that understanding to improve pricing models

§  Develop collaborative and influential relationships with Planning and Analysis, Product, Sales, Operations, Credit and Marketing teams to improve business performance

§  Collaborate within and across Chase Merchant Services to lead the strategy and build of business metrics and key leading business performance indicators

§  Effectively communicates complex topics to internal and external clients

§  Builds strong collaborative relationships to influence senior partners

§  Team player who provides coaching and feedback to junior talent

§  MBA or Master’s Degree from a top-tier program

§  10+ years of financial analysis experience; preferred if past experience from a management consulting firm, internal consulting or corporate strategy group

§  Previous experience in managing a team

§  Strong client management, especially experience managing large-scale change programs, and executive-level communication skills

§  Advanced user of Excel and Access; SAS experience preferred

§  Proven record in analytics, problem solving and execution in a cross-functional role

§  Ability to effectively and efficiently manage concurrent assignments and quickly react to changing or competing priorities.
