The End User Service Workspace Services objective is to ensure that JPMorgan Chase is able to drive innovation to areas that relay on providing value as their business model; allowing for innovation to make the firm a leader the market place.  We accomplish this through driving value innovation in markets that are highly competitive, which ultimately provides better products and services that our clients value. Through architecture leadership, vendor partnership and active collaboration with lines of business, value innovation solutions and services are provided that focus on improving the Firm's market share.
 
Within End User Services Workspace Services, the Emerging Technology Solutions Engineer drives innovation and execution of strategy. They provide new innovative solutions by working within architecture governance, engineering, vendor partnership and the lines of business to evaluate, POC and implement new technologies that add value for our customers.
 
As an Emerging Technology Solutions Engineer you are responsible for understanding LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring.  Primary duty involves design work, specifically designing a tailored solution in order to meet a specific client request. Exhibiting proficiency across infrastructure technologies and  possessing the ability to assemble emerging technology solutions within the Agile framework are required.  You must be able to communicate in clear, concise, understandable terms, both technical and non-technical concepts. You must have a high degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend solutions.
 
In this position you are required to work toward GTI strategies and departmental objectives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in emerging technologies embedded systems, IoT integration platforms, Big Data analytics and IoT field technology
  • Proficient in multiple programing languages, such as Java, C++, PHP etc.
  • Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology: Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, VMWare Airwatch, etc
  • General knowledge of infrastructure and operations, networking, Wireless Communications and cloud
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory
  • Advanced understanding of Lob technology drivers and their impact on architecture design
  • Advanced understanding of performance and monitoring
  • Advanced understanding of best practices and JPMC policies
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Develops the mindset for risk and control compliance  to departmental and company wide standards
  • Works within standards of financial control and budget management
  • Executes within client centric environment for work with teams and contributors
