CIB – F&BM – Business Manager – VP/ED- London, UK

Role Description:

As Business Manager for Global e-commerce Sales & Marketing, the individual will be responsible for supporting the Business Head in leading the CIB’s digital client strategy and growing profitability by developing, delivering and leveraging JPM’s electronic capabilities to our clients globally across Equities, Rates, FX, Commodities and Credit. The successful candidate will jointly report into the Senior Business Managers of International and America Sales.

  • Review strategic opportunities to develop the competitive and market positioning of the e-sales  
  • Lead the oversight of the esales client agenda globally for Markets; reviewing client coverage, growth opportunities, prioritisation and client performance metrics.
  • Lead the oversight and development of sales & product strategies in partnership with the Sales leadership team, working closely with Trading and Execution Services.
  • Drive global consistency around reporting, planning and team management.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to ensure the business adheres to the control and governance policies and procedures.
  • Focus on improving the client experience (in conjunction with product) around client on-boarding & platform enhancement
  • Support the Business head in developing a globally consistent approach, process & governance by leveraging best practice from the three regions.  
  • Manage agenda and coordination of regular meetings, business reviews and offsites.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the electronic Trading and Execution Service, Sales & Product teams

Finance & Business Management:

  • Participate in global and cross-regional initiatives as appropriate, building effective relationships and working closely with CIB F&BM colleagues.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Strong analytical and numeric skills, accounting knowledge, ability to interpret financial statements and MIS reports
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills and demonstrated ability to work across functions with project sponsors and balance the needs of multiple stakeholder groups
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; flexibility, ability to prioritise requests and multi-task
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated and effective under pressure
  • Ability to work well individually and partner effectively
  • Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to improvement
