Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business (LOB) to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution, and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
GTI Service Operations (SO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, SO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
This role requires a technically strong and disciplined developer with a record of delivering high quality, stable solutions in a mature controlled environment. All members of the Client Operations team are expected to attain a clear understanding of the incident handling and service desk model to understand the day to day challenges of our technicians and end user community.  The key deliverable will be to develop and maintain a suite of tools that leverage robust APIs to allow technicians to operate more efficiently, drive self-service through automation, and improve early detection and proactive resolution of problems in the environment.  
Required Skills
  • Experience in performant, large-scale system development in an object-oriented or functional language such as HTML, Java Script, Python, C++ or C#. 
  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies, responsible for elucidating and agreeing requirements, building relationships with business users, and taking ownership of deliverables all the way to the production environment. 
  • Focus on testing through the entire development cycle to produce reliable and maintainable software. 
  • Ability to develop a good understanding of end to end business processes. 
  • Enthusiastic to keep learning and growing, in technical aptitude, business understanding and personal effectiveness. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently and credibly with business users, to understand and agree business requirements and their prioritisation. 
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence other technology teams to deliver end to end solutions to the business in a constantly changing environment.
  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience as a technologist in a large, matrix structured, mission-critical environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving and decision making skills including experience with project management methodologies required.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of service desk and desktop support operations a plus
  • Experience with or willingness to learn cloud development methodologies
  • Experience in the support and implementation of technology processes and products
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher), preferably in a technology/business related discipline, or equivalent experience
