The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses, and ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit Risk. WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product stress testing, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an economic credit capital model, the construction and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses.
 
Opportunity
The opportunity is to join our team as a Vice President, with a focus on risk grading methodology, policy and analytics across all lines of Wholesale.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with various internal teams such as Credit Review, Credit Risk Management and Business teams as subject matter expert on Wholesale risk grading
  • Assist with internal and external reviews of the JPM Wholesale risk rating system
  • Coordinate with WCAS Risk technology teams to enhance risk rating systems with focus on data capture necessary for analytics and to address limitations of existing systems
  • Establish data requirements for on-going ratings model development by performing gap analysis and determining future data needs in light of evolving internal and external requirements
  • Assist Credit teams in performing studies to update changes to rating methodologies
  • Address issues pertaining to ratings as raised through internal and external reviews of Wholesale rating system
  • Develop analytical tools, reports and presentations for senior management
  • Assist with the development of ratings templates and scorecards
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects related to ratings and LGD
The specific experience needed is:
  • Prior experience in credit risk as credit officer/underwriter or in credit analytics/credit ratings
  • Knowledge of programming and statistical skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of internal credit risk reporting data and tools
  • Familiarity with products and structures that create credit risk (loans, letters of credit, derivatives, securities) as well as with regulatory requirements related to ratings and the advanced internal ratings based framework
  • Well-organized, able to prioritize  
  • Able to own an issue and creatively find potential solutions  
  • Cross-LOB Partnership is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
