Asset Management - Events Manager – Associate / Vice President

The Events Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of principle, regional and internal events for the business.  He/she will work with marketing and sales management of each channel, and others within the organization to assist with the planning and delivery of these events as well as managing the regional events calendar and coordinating the events approval process for J.P Morgan Asset Management. The events manager will be required to assist with all details relating to budgeting, logistics, messaging, agendas, on-site management, follow-up and measurement.
 
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Delivering J.P. Morgan Asset Management event standards at every event
  • Project planning and management (project plans and critical paths)
  • Obtaining all necessary approvals based on the event requirements
  • Site/venue research and negotiation of vendor contracts based on corporate/legal guidelines
  • Working with the internal marketing partners to build registration sites and invitations, and managing the entire invitation process and attendee manifests
  • Managing all event logistics, including but not limited to audio visual requirements, travel coordination, event materials production such as the printing of name badges and signage, internal partner liaison – e.g. with corporate travel agency, corporate security, etc.
  • Managing logistics for speakers, including facilitating presentation materials, hotel and ground transportation bookings, etc.
  • On-site event management and execution (travel will be required)
  • Managing event databases, invoice processing and the preparation of financial and feedback reports.

 

  • University graduate with 8-10+ years of event management experience
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and able to work well with internal partners and vendors
  • The ability to understand the unique needs of the various channels and manage accordingly
  • Excellent knowledge of all logistical and production elements, with the ability to manage very detailed processes with multiple tactical elements
  • Sound budget management skills, cost conscious with strong negotiation skills
  • Delivery-oriented with developed credibility and trust through consistent high quality execution and management
  • Positive attitude and excellent work ethic, exceptional judgement and unquestionable integrity
  • Highly sensitive to compliance and risk control and the ability to help reinforce and guide colleagues on the importance of following guidelines on a day-to-day basis
  • Excellent computer skills to include Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Knowledge of event technology is an advantage.
