Ideal candidate will participate in a team environment and assist to manage and resolve day-to-day production support issues for multiple JPMC Loan Applications that support the Commercial Bank Wholesale Loan Operations globally.

As an Application Support Analyst in the Commercial Bank Technology, primary responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the applications and 24/7 availability of the systems through careful monitoring of production processes, automating procedures where possible via scripting, and performing Permit to Operate on each application release.  Candidate will work closely with the development and Agile support teams to provide design guidelines and imparts knowledge on technical trends and solutions. Instruments end to end monitoring of infrastructures and applications to ensure high availability and timely alerting of potential issues. Ensure infrastructures have adequate capacity and are refreshed on a periodic basis. You will also develop and maintain system documentation, run-books and production metrics reporting. 

 

The successful candidate will need to truly understand how the systems work so they can contribute to the overall solution, including the ability to create Unix scripts, Control-M, autosys jobs, SQL queries, and alerts independently.  They will be considered partners for a solution, not simply command executors, and are expected to add value by suggesting changes to the infra and processing.  

 

Duties include but not limited to:

•                    Start of Day ready for business checks

•                    Environment management: Production, DR, UAT

•                    Scripting Autosys, UNIX, Database queries, UNIX scripting and GENEOS

•                    WebLogic, Apache and Tomcat — Application Server experience/administration

•                    Hadoop environment administration.

•                    Release management

•                    L1/L2 investigation and resolution of issues raised by users

•                    Incident and problem management

•                    Update key control systems according to procedure and in a timely manner (within JPM these include Alacrity/ConQuest, EPV, ITSM)

•                    Create and update "run book" documentation for the supported applications as required

•                    Participate in Critical Site Tests (MEPC) for supported applications

 

                    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical or business area

                    Minimum of 7 years of experience overall, with at least 3 years of experience working in an applications production support/application development environment

                    Experience supporting real-time sensitive applications

                    Large enterprise experience preferred

                    Scripting & Configuration — UNIX shell or other system level scripting, SQL scripting

                    WebLogic, Apache and Tomcat — Application Server experience/administration

                    Oracle DB - Functional knowledge of SQL; Practical implementation experience of schemas and stored procedures

                    Should be familiar with release management best practices and adherence to security policies

                    Previous exposure to application support

                    Previous experience with DevOps
