Wholesale Client On-boarding (WCOB) is a global team with presence in major cities such as New York, London, Bournemouth, Hong Kong and Singapore. The team works closely with Sales, Operations, Credit, Legal and Compliance to ensure efficient and timely on-boarding of our clients. WCOB plays a critical role in on-boarding new clients to our organization as well as ensuring that our due diligence adheres to regulatory requirements for new and existing clients.

 

This is an opportunity for the right individual to work in a fast paced dynamic team and to help identify and establish best practice within JP Morgan and the industry.

The role of Executive Director for the Global Investment Banking and Global Corporate Banking Business On-boarding team sits within Corporate and Investment Bank Operations. You will manage and lead a team that owns and drives the end-to-end client lifecycle, which involves initial Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing research, client document collection and case building. Due to the nature of the role, you will have to make quick decisions on competing priorities with tight timelines and also have a knack for on-the-spot problem solving.  You will work closely with our clients, client facing teams and operational resources to manage the successful on-boarding of our existing customers and prospects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Reporting to the Regional Head of APAC Wholesale Client On-boarding, you will have management and oversight of the daily Business As Usual Client On-boarding and Renewals work across APAC. The Client On-boarding Operations Manager Singapore (SG) will work with Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) Business partners to implement our KYC standards

 

In addition, the individual will have responsibility for the following:

  • Represent Wholesale Client On-boarding APAC KYC on regional, global, cross line of business KYC initiatives and Liaise with regulators and internal audit staff for AML matters
  • Manage a team supporting client on-boarding efforts for the APAC region
  • Maintain a robust control environment and ensure appropriate supervisory oversight for all controls
  • Multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment, appreciate diversity and follow through assignments within tight schedule
  • Ensure team meets productivity targets whilst maintaining quality target
  • Client Management - Regular meetings with key stakeholders including Business partners, Compliance.

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years of financial services experience in KYC Client On-boarding or in one of the following disciplines: Compliance, Operations, Project/Program/Process
  • Ability to lead cross cultural teams in an international environment
  • Strong Management skills with a focus on process improvement and operational redesign
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to deal with high pressure, time sensitive tasks
  • Flexibility to adapt to a continually changing environment, and be prepared to take on responsibility whilst being willing to absorb and share their knowledge continuously.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
